Directorate Office

The Directorate Office is responsible for the development and management of relevant policies, systems and procedures, the Division's performance standards, and also manages the student appeals and complaints processes.

Academic Administration

The Academic Administration Group provides policy, advice, information and management of University processes in the following areas: academic policies, academic regulations, academic planning, regional strategy, academic agreements and academic pathways, quality, paper information, approval of qualifications and papers, University committee servicing, the University Calendar, support for the Chair - Academic Programmes Committee, the Chair - Academic Board and the University representative on CUAP, and is responsible for credit and credit precedent, postgraduate studies, student discipline, completions, examinations and assessment, and graduation.

Resources

The Resources Group is responsible for the overall administrative functions and operations of the Accommodation and Conference Services Office, including Halls’ maintenance and administration, for student financial advice and assistance, and for the Disabilities Service.

Student Administration Systems

The Student Administration Systems Group plans, develops and implements processes for student administration systems for the Division and the University, develops, and coordinates processes for consultation and decision-making in relation to the identification and prioritisation of enhancements, routine maintenance and additions to SAS-e Jade SMS, manages the processes and systems required for the production of the University Timetable, and provides a comprehensive computing support service for the Division, including problem diagnosis and resolution and web development.

Student Enrolment

The Student Enrolment Group provides a central facility and service for the provision of information to prospective and current students, for application processing, admission, changes to enrolment and fees and charges as well as StudyLink liaison.

Student Support

The Student Support Group primarily comprises the pastoral support services, which includes chaplaincy, counselling, student health, halls of residences and Tauranga support services, as well as the Office of Student Life and careers.
