How to apply and get into Waikato

Applying to the University of Waikato is easy. If you are a school student, you’ll need to have completed Year 12. Our entry criteria is:

Undergraduate Entry Criteria (All States/Territories)
Year 12 Certificate and an ATAR of 70 or higher

Notes:

The Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Engineering with Honours qualifications have additional Academic subject requirements.

The Bachelor of Teaching, Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Music also have selection process criteria.

Queensland prior to 2020 require Year 12 Certificate and an Overall Position (OP) of 14 or under.
