Waikato on iTunes U
What is iTunes U?
iTunes U is an area within Apple’s iTunes Store where higher educational institutions can provide their own collections of audio and visual content. More than 800 universities worldwide have active iTunes U sites. All podcasts can be downloaded or subscribed to free of charge straight onto your computer or mobile device.
iTunes U enables you to listen or view a piece of content on the go by synchronising with your mobile device (such as an iPhone or iPad).
The University of Waikato launched its own site on iTunes U in 2009 and features now more than 100 podcasts.
Waikato’s iTunes U site provides 24/7 access to a wide range of educational content including course lectures, performances, colloquiums, seminars, student presentations, special lectures and campus tours.
In order to download podcasts from the site you need to have iTunes software installed on your computer or you can use the free iTUnes U app on your IOS device. So you if you don’t have iTunes yet, you can download iTunes from the apple website here.
