Jeremy was accepted into the Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship program after completing conjoint degrees in a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Teaching Primary.

He decided to continue studying for the one-year Master of Business and Management (MBM), through Waikato Management School to complement his existing skillset. He hopes to become a school principal one day so he can positively influence primary and intermediate education.

During this time, he has continued to be involved in shows with the Carving in Ice theater company in Hamilton.

Jeremy Tomkins was a prefect and house leader at Tauranga Boys’ College. While at school, he performed in plays and musical productions, competed in speech competitions, and participated in the Tauranga Festival of Performing Arts on several occasions. He was also in his school’s winning entry in the Bay of Plenty Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival.

In 2014 Jeremy obtained his Diploma in Communications with Distinction through the Association of Trinity College of London. In November 2015, Jeremy was the stage manager and set designer/builder for the 10-year Hillary Scholarship show 'Blue Stockings', heldat the Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts.
