Admission

There are several ways you can gain admission to degree study at the University of Waikato. It is likely that you will be accepted into a Waikato Diploma if you meet the criteria outlined on this page.

PhotoRequirements

The Diploma comprises a minimum of 120 points at 100 level or above, including 80 points at 200 level or above in the Diploma fields listed below, and including at least 80 points in one field. Normally it involves one year of full-time study (or more extended part-time study). Candidates must also meet the relevant field requirements as set out below.

Note: A candidate who has successfully completed papers for either of these qualifications may apply to have them transferred to an Undergraduate Degree, before the diploma is awarded. A transfer credit fee will apply.
