Geographies of Development
A number of
staff in the Programme work collaboratively with staff at the School
of Māori and Pacific Development and International
Global Change Institute on development studies-related topics. Our strengths are in the social critique of development from the
perspective of health, tourism, population, environment, land tenure and
social conflict in the Asia-Pacific region.
Students with interests in the geography of development might consider the
following undergraduate papers listed below. It is also advisable for
students to discuss their plans with an appropriate staff member. Students interested in the geography of development at the
Masters or PhD level are encouraged to contact the Graduate Adviser, Dr
Colin McLeay.
