Who is a Geoger? Well you are of course, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this page!
Geogers are what we here at the Waikato Branch of the New Zealand Geographic Society call people that are interested in geography. And why not – it is after all a fantastic area to both study and work in. Our membership is testament to that! We have organisations such as schools and the University of Waikato, but also students and practicing geographers in both the public and private organisations. Yeap, that’s right, many of the lecturers in the Department of Geography, Tourism & Environmental Planning are members, teachers you had at high school, even some of your friends might be, and if you come to the many events that are organised by the branch, you will meet many more of us.
What does the branch do for all you student Geogers at university?
