Is the past a ‘foreign country’?
Were people in the past really that different from us, or are there clear connections between then and now?
How might we best represent and explain the past?
At present, these questions are sharply debated by historians as the discipline undergoes a new phase of redefinition. The History programme at Waikato engages with these and related questions and offers an exciting suite of papers across a wide range of thematic and geographical regions.
