Work Design, Employee Well-being and Job Performance: A Longitudinal Study
I am interested in work design consequences on employee well-being. In my research, I will investigate the work design and how it affects the employee well-being such as psychological strain, job satisfaction, affective commitment and turnover intentions. My research aims to test a comprehensively formulated work design model in an organization. It is best to view and analyze the comprehensive model where the variables work together to give a better prediction of work outcomes. This, hopefully, provides more precise understanding of the work design and its impact on employee well-being as well as job performance. Better understanding of this model will assist the organization in determining which ones are important to their employees to adopt work redesign. In this way, practitioners can identify the specific work characteristics rather than imposing a universal assumption on the way in which employees prefer to work.
