Postgraduate Studies
Many students want to continue studying after their bachelors degree and the University of Waikato offers honours and masters degrees and graduate and postgraduate diplomas and certificates in most subjects. We also have a thriving doctoral study programme.

Scholarships and Prizes
The Scholarships Office provides support and advice to potential and enrolled students considering applying for scholarships.

Higher Degrees
A research degree, sometimes described as a higher degree, is awarded by the University of Waikato for research which requires a high degree of scholarly acumen, independence and perseverance. The research is supervised by members of academic staff, but must be the candidate’s original work. This must be presented as a written thesis that demonstrates the research process and the argument or results.
