Your Campus

With so much going on for students at the University of Waikato, it pays to know your campus. There are a number of services and facilities housed and available on-site, including the shopping complex by the Village Green, recreational facilities, car parking, facilities for parents and bus services.

The University of Waikato has partner clubs across a range of sporting codes, as well as more than 50 cultural groups and clubs affiliated with Waikato Student Union.

The Don Llewellyn Bar and Pavilion

The Don Llewellyn Pavilion is the building by the tennis courts and sports fields off Silverdale Road at Gate 3B. “The Don” is the home of official University sports clubs and its bar provides an avenue for clubs on campus to socialise. It is the ideal place to socialise after playing sports or to relax in quality student focused surroundings. It is also available for functions and fundraisers with student discounts available on hireage.

ID card

When you have signed and returned your enrolment agreement, indicating how you will pay your fees, you will be issued with your Student ID Card. If you lose your card, you can go to the Student Centre on Level 2 and get a new card for a replacement fee of $10.00 from the Student Administration team.

Wherever tertiary student discounts are available, it is likely that you will need to present your Waikato ID card. You will also use your card for photocopying and other services, such as issuing books at the Library; so it pays to keep your Waikato ID card with you at all times.
