Study Abroad

As a Study Abroad student you can enrol at the University of Waikato for one or two semesters and credit study to your home degree.

You can apply privately, through a study abroad agency, or through your home institution, should that institution have a study abroad agreement with the University of Waikato.

Student Exchange

As an exchange student you can enrol at the University of Waikato for one or two semesters and credit study to your home degree. To be considered an exchange student your home university must have a formal bilateral student exchange agreement with the University of Waikato.

You must be nominated by the relevant office at their home university and this nomination must be acknowledged by the Study Abroad and Exchange Coordinator at the University of Waikato. Have a look at the University of Waikato's partner universities.
