This paper follows a thematic and cultural approach and aims to provide students with a solid foundation on critical issues pertinent to Hispanic culture. Through a selection of cultural texts (identity, music, gender issues, e-texts, etc.), students gain a deeper understanding of Spanish and Latin American culture as well as competence in the language through advanced language skills in written composition and public oral presentation.
