Ko wai mātou?
Led out of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor office - Māori Ki Waikato aims to enrich tauira experiences by providing wrap around support throughout your time here at Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato.
Ko Kīngi Tūheitia ki te rangi, ko Te Arikinui Kuini Nga wai hono i te po ki te whenua, rirerire hau, pai mārire!
Nau piki mai, nau kake mai
Nā koutou i waha mai ko Tūmanako, ko Moemoeā, ko Pae Tawhiti, mā Te Whare Wānanga e tautoko atu!
In welcoming you to the university we want you to know that there is another whānau here, a university whānau that is committed to supporting your success. Tauira Māori have a dedicated leadership role within the Waikato Students' Union and Māori student rōpū across the University that provide a Māori voice and presence for programmes of study.
We work hard to provide a range of opportunities across the university that not only support your studies but also enhance your experience while you are with us. Our hope is that in providing you with a rich and diverse range of learning experiences, you will be better prepared to go out into the world, to give back to your whānau and communities and to lead our communities into the future. We look forward to welcoming you here and supporting the next stage in your journey.
Pai Mārire!
