This series has seven modules which may be worked through at your own pace. Each module consists of readings, resources, examples, practical in-class tasks to try, and a voluntary assessment task.
Upon commencement, you will have six months' access to the course site and the ability to submit any assessments for feedback.
Tinker time - Digital coding
Computational thinking was added to the NZ English medium curriculum in 2020 but what exactly is it? Join us at this hands-on day where we support you to understand a range of block-based coding platforms so you can lead learning around computational thinking in digital contexts. You don't need to be an expert but you might feel like one by the end of the day! We'll get to grips with Micro:bits and a range of robots and explore how you could integrate these in your school's authentic contexts. For teachers of year 3 - 10.
