Start your studies in either Hamilton or Tauranga
You can start your engineering degree in either Hamilton or Tauranga. Our Tauranga students benefit from smaller class sizes and new, state-of-the-art facilities in our award-winning building located in the heart of the Tauranga CBD.
Jump Start
Passionate about pursuing engineering but don’t have the necessary NCEA Level 3 credits in Calculus or Physics? We offer two papers through the Jump Start Programme starting late January designed especially for prospective engineering students.
Engineering Fast Track
Tailor your engineering journey. With Waikato's Fast Track Graduate Programme, complete a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours based on your existing qualifications, saving you time and effort.
Gain a unique business edge
Waikato engineering students can gain a unique business edge by concurrently studying towards a Graduate Diploma in Engineering Management alongside the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours, all within 4 years.

Held over two days in October and open to the public, our world-class Engineering Design Show (EDS) is the flagship event of the Waikato School of Engineering and the high-point of our degree programmes. See first-hand how our final-year students are excelling in designing, building and testing new products, structures and solutions for the real world.
