HLTSC509, a current New Zealand Registered Nurse Annual Practising Certificate (APC), at least five years of working as a Registered Nurse, and at least three years working as a Registered Nurse in the clinical area that the student is intending to prescribe within.

This paper provides the student with structured clinical experiences in prescribing practice. This includes clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning, articulating a range of prescribing options, and making a prescribing recommendation based on clinical assessment.
