Registration as a health professional in NewZealand.

The prevalence of mental health and addiction issues in primary care settings requires a workforce that can identify and appropriately respond to these issues. In addition, many primary care consumers experience comorbid mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety and hazardous use of substances. This course will provide students with skills of identification, assessment and interdisciplinary care of people with mental health and addiction problems. The course will provide both a population and clinical focus.
