This paper provides opportunities for a limited number of Screen and Media Studies students to gain work experience in a professional environment in order to utilize their subject knowledge, apply and extend their skills. This is a good opportunity for students to critically reflect on the relationship between their university education and workplace practice in the media.

The normal criteria for enrolment in this paper are the completion of the second year SMST programme, a minimum B+ grade in SMST209 or SMST219 and the approval of an intern contract by the Screen and Media Studies internship coordinator (see website).
