This paper introduces students to the theory and practice of stage direction. Students examine pre-existing methodologies which may be employed to realise their creative visions. Analysis of narrative, dramatic structure, play genre, production cohesion and the role of a director will be discussed and studied. Students will be required to direct and produce a series of works throughout the paper.
