The Public Relations Campaigns competition is a practical assignment for third-year students in the Public Relations (opens in a new tab) major, showcasing their talent and professionalism.
All teams work with a real client to research and develop communication campaigns that tackle real organisational challenges and identify opportunities for growth.
At the final, each team pitches their recommendations to a panel of industry judges, who evaluate each campaign for its strategic thinking, creativity, professional execution, and how well it resonds to the organisation's needs.
The team with the best overall campaign proposal is named winner of the competition.
First launched in 2003, this flagship event demonstrates the practical, industry-ready skills that make Waikato's Public Relations graduates highly sought after by employers.
