Nerdfest is back for 2025!

Following the success of our 2024 debut, the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Waikato is excited to bring you our second annual Nerdfest event — a dynamic technology showcase like no other.

Get hands-on with fun, interactive activities inspired by our cutting-edge research and innovative projects. From AI and robots to cyber security, programming, gaming, LEGO, and more — there's something for everyone. And keep your eyes open… there might be a few surprises along the way!

All ages welcome — whether you're a tech newbie, a curious kid, a family looking for a fun day out, or a seasoned ‘techspert’, Nerdfest has something for you.
