Talk by Professor David Lepofsky on “Society’s Duty to Remove and Prevent Disability Barriers – What the Law School and Legal Profession Can Do”

In this talk Professor Lepofsky will focus on the pressing need to remove and prevent disability barriers in all aspects of life, such as education, health care, employment and transportation, and the critical role lawyers can play in this process.

Professor Lepofsky is a graduate of Harvard Law School and is a visiting research professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario, a visiting professor of disability rights at the Faculties of Law of the University of Ottawa and Queen’s University, a past visiting professor of Disability Rights and Legal Education at the Osgoode Hall Law School and, for over three decades, an adjunct member of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law (all part time). He has retired from law practice after working for 33 years as Crown counsel at Ontario’s Ministry of the Attorney General.
