Connor Haar studied for a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting at the University of Waikato.
Connor Haar (Waikato-Tainui, Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Mahuta) followed in his grandfather's footsteps and studied for a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting at the University of Waikato. But he also pursued his love for culture and minored in Japanese.
“What I love about Waikato is the flexibility with courses,” Connor says. “I have always had an interest in other cultures and being able to learn something I was passionate about while also completing my main degree has been fulfilling.
“I always knew that when I finished my degree, it would be a strong one to go out into the workplace.”
Connor, who is now working at PwC, plans to become a Chartered Accountant and gain international work experience. Eventually, he hopes to work in the Māori business sector and make a greater impact with the knowledge and experience he has gained.
