IRIS facilitates processes such as

• editing your public staff profile
• academic record-keeping, including:
  • your research profile in preparation for a future national research assessment exercise
  • your teaching profile, for ASP
• open research, including open access to research publications
• Academic staff advancement and promotions (ASP)

IRIS access

All current University employees with a contract managed by People and Capability are automatically granted access to IRIS. This includes Professors Emeritus and staff on honorary appointments.

Contractors do not generally have access to IRIS. However, exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis; these need to be requested from the ITS Service Desk by the contractor's manager.

Doctoral candidates who have reached confirmed enrolment will have access to IRIS for the term of their candidacy and for 12 months following completion.
