This paper runs concurrently with COUNS531 – Counselling Skills - Ethics, Ideas and Practices. The focus of this paper is the practice of counselling. Students engage in a year long practicum. They are required to achieve 200 hours of practicum time with 80 hours of face to face counselling.

This paper is taught partially online. It is a compulsory paper for the MCouns and is available only to students enrolled in this programme. Students must arrange their own practicum placement in order to meet course requirements. The arrangements must be approved by the Professional Leader Counsellor Education.
