Bachelor with Honours degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
Students are introduced to the application of digital technologies in construction, including Building Information Modelling (BIM), sustainability, and digital twins. The course also covers information platforms, data governance, and the critical use of digital tools and workflows across project stages. Students develop skills to analyse construction problems, support sustainable decision-making, and incorporate Indigenous perspectives and innovation in digital construction practices. The course also explores Mātauranga Māori frameworks in digital construction, including the application of Māori knowledge to Construction 4.0 and Māori architecture, highlighting how indigenous knowledge can inform sustainable, culturally responsive, and innovative digital workflows.
