A broad practical introduction to computer graphics techniques. The paper will provide an overview of the operation of computer graphics systems, but focus on the use and control of graphics techniques to achieve visual results in a commercial game engine. The main topics are representation, modelling and animation; rendering, especially lighting methods; and materials with emphasis on texturing. Virtual Reality examples will be included.
