The Southern Cross Nursing Scholarship for University of Waikato was established in 2025 by the Southern Cross Health Trust and Southern Cross Healthcare (opens in a new tab) to support the development, education, and leadership of the nursing profession in Aotearoa New Zealand. Southern Cross Healthcare recognises the essential role of nurses in both the public and private healthcare system and seeks to address challenges students may face while pursuing a Bachelor of Nursing.
Eligibility
Each year, three scholarships will be available to new-to-study domestic students enrolling full-time towards a Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Waikato. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 per year for up to three years and includes extension learning opportunities and the opportunity to engage with Southern Cross Healthcare (opens in a new tab).
