The JS offering is only available to students taking part in the Jump Start programme, which is a transition to University programme that runs 4 weeks before A Trimester orientation.

This paper covers basic algebraic concepts, along with an introduction to statistics and calculus. It is intended for those who wish to improve their basic mathematical skills. It provides the general mathematical background needed for many other MATHS/DATAX papers. Students who meet the prerequisites for either MATHS165 or MATHS166 should take one of those papers instead of MATHS168.
