MEDIA504 focuses more tightly on contextual and practical aspects related to art history, criticism and design. You will be exposed to relevant theories, artistic movements and related media materials, art and design practice. It is about understanding through research and practice, the affordances of different types of media and creative technologies, design and art practices and then: Developing critical thinking and research skills related to the disciplines of visual arts, design, filmmaking, painting, sculpture, architecture and other artistic forms. As part of your research you will be encouraged to engage in some form of creative practice.
