Kaimai Shuttle

The University offers a free first-in, first-served shuttle service between the Hamilton and Tauranga campuses.

This service is available to enrolled students who live in one region and are required to travel from one campus to the other for classes, research supervision, or matters that are related to their university study. It is also available to staff who require transport between campus for work-related purposes.

The Kaimai Shuttle runs Monday to Friday during teaching weeks of Trimesters A, B and C, and teaching periods G and H (excluding public holidays). It does not run during teaching recesses, study and exam weeks. The shuttle service is also available to staff.

The Kaimai Shuttle will arrive and depart from the following locations:

Campus

Pick up/Drop off points

Tauranga

Durham Lane area (ātea/courtyard).

Note: Durham Lane is on the western side of the campus and is not on Google Maps. It runs parallel between Cameron Road and Durham Street.

Hamilton

Main University Bus Stop (Gate 1, outside campus shops)

 

The shuttle leaves promptly, so ensure you are at the departure point at least ten minutes beforehand

Register for the Shuttle

Students and staff must be registered to use this service.

To register, email uwt@waikato.ac.nz and include your name and student ID. Once registered you will receive an email confirming how to book your seat.

You must be registered before you can book the shuttle.
