Blair Pennell : Bachelor of Business Analysis (BBA)

Blair Pennell


Blair is currently going into his third year of a Bachelor of Business Analysis majoring in accounting. In 2015 Blair attended Hamilton Boys' High School where he was a prefect as well as the sports captain. Blair's chosen sport is athletics and in particular middle distance running, where in 2015 he was selected to represent New Zealand at the Oceania Area Championships where he received 4 medals (1 gold, 3 silver) in the under 18 division. Blair is a recipient of a 2017 Waikato University Blues Award as well as a nominee for the 2017 Waikato Regional Emerging Talent Award. Blair's future aspirations will be to obtain his chosen degree as well as continue to pursue athletics with an aim to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.


National Title - 19/03/2017

Won the under 20 3000m steeplechase at the New Zealand track and field nationals.

National Medal - 19/03/2017

Was a member of the Waikato Bay of Plenty 4x400m relay team who placed 3rd in the under 20 4x400 relay at the National track and field competition.

Under 20 10km Winner - 08/10/2017

Won the under 20 division for the Hamilton Half Marathon 10km race. Finished 4th overall in the event. The event was under the Hamilton Half Marathon with a 10km race which is regionally known and also having a few international runners.
