Brooke Neal: Bachelor of Communication Studies (BCS)

    Brooke Neal

Brooke comes to Waikato from Whangarei Girls' High where she was head girl in 2010. In 2012, Brooke travelled to India to play a four nations tournament for the Junior Blacksticks where they came 2nd. She is in the Junior Blacksticks team which will compete in the Gold Coast in February, and the Junior World Cup in July held in Germany. She has been selected in the NZ Blacksticks development squad for 2013, and her goal is to compete at the 2016 Olympics. Planning to complete a Bachelor of Communications majoring in Public Relations and Management Communication, Brooke hopes to work in event management. This is her third and final year at University.

    Blacksticks Squad - 20/05/2013
I was delighted to get called into the Blacksticks Squad, promoted from development.
    Blacksticks development - 11/02/2013
I was named in the 2013 Blacksticks development squad- my highest achievement to date. I will be training with the Blacksticks all year, travelling to Auckland 3 times a fortnight and hopefully playing my first caps.
    JBS India Tour - 02/11/2011
I was selected as part of the Junior Blacksticks Womens team (NZ U21s) where we played in a four nations tournament located in New Delhi, India. This is an international tournament, we competed against India and Australia and Germany. We got into the final vs Germany, and due to sickness in the team, lost (even though we beat them convincingly in the pool play).

This was an amazing experience for me and it helped me further develop my hockey skills.
