Emerson Deverell : Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)

Emerson Deverell

Emerson Deverell has been running competitively for five years. First competing in middle distance running, she now competes in cross country, road, mountain, and track events with her biggest achievement to date being winning the national U20 road running title in 2017 and the national mountain U20 title in 2016. Other highlights include being selected to represent New Zealand at the Australian Cross Country Champs and the ISF World Schools Cross country Championships in Hungary. Emerson was also selected to race at the World Mountain Running Championships in Bulgaria 2016 and in Italy in 2017. She says that competing in a wide range of events from mountain running to track running means her training never feels repetitive and getting to travel to new places to compete keeps the sport interesting and enjoyable. Emerson hopes to continue to represent New Zealand internationally and to improve on her times. She is in her 2nd year studying towards a Bachelor of Business Management majoring in Economics and Finance.
