    Georgia Perry: Bachelor of Media and Creative Technologies

    Georgia Perry from Horotiu has been selected for the New Zealand team to compete in the women's 4 race at the World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Lithuania later this year. She won gold in the U21 pair, U21 quad and U21 eight races, silver in the premier eight and U21 four races and bronze in the U21 double race at the 2012 Banklink New Zealand Rowing Championships. Last year Georgia represented New Zealand in the women's quad race at the Junior World Championships in London. She has also competed in swimming and football. Originally from Horotiu, Georgia attended St Peter's School in Cambridge where she was a sports prefect. She is studying for a Bachelor of Media and Creative Technologies and hopes to work in a creative field that allows her time to focus on rowing. Georgia's ultimate goal is to represent New Zealand at the Olympic Games.


    Made the U23 team - 25/02/2012
    After the end of the weeklong trial I was selected into the Women's Heavyweight 4- to compete at the U23 World Champs in July this year.
    Selected to trial - 19/02/2012
    Selected to trial for the NZ U23 team for 2012, a week-long trial to decide the teams travelling both to the U23 World Champs in Lithuania, and to the Olympic Games in London.
