Noelle Dannenbring : Master of Music (MMUS)
Music - Performance Piano
Noelle Dannenbring has been active in the performing arts in Rotorua for much of her life. Having started piano and ballet at an early age, she found herself performing roles in school and local productions of musical theatre. The former prefect and joint-music captain of John Paul College completed her Bachelors of Music degree, majoring in piano performance under the tutelage of Katherine Austin, in 2015. This year, she is working towards her honors and wishes to continue with masters next year. Noelle loves to perform, sharing music with an audience, and has a real passion for cooking and eating good food. Since entering the Waikato University music school, Noelle has gained many great successes. Among these are winning the 2013 and 2015 Waikato University Chamber Music competition, both the 2013 and 2014 Te Awamutu Chamber Music competition, the 2014 Lions Club of Te Awamutu Scholarship piano recital competition and receiving the Lili Krause piano award scholarship in 2014. In 2015, Noelle performed her first full public solo recital in the Lewis Eady emerging artists series concert held in Auckland. She was also one of three finalists in the 2015 Waikato University Concerto competition. Later that year, she reached the finals of the prestigious 2015 Royal Over-Seas League scholarship competition playing in a piano trio, Evoco, with Brigitte and Matthias Balzat. Noelle's future aspiration is to be a pianist of international standard, specializing in chamber music.
