Zoe Lapwood : Bachelor of Arts (BA)

Zoe Lapwood

Zoe is currently in her third year of University undergoing a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Linguistics and Accounting. In 2015 she was Head Girl at St Paul's Collegiate School where she was also captain of Hockey and Rowing. Her chosen art is music, in particular songwriting, where she has competed in several competitions. Highlights throughout her songwriting career thus far include performing the national anthem at a Black Sticks test match, being runner up in the Play It Strange Peace Song Writing Competition where she was offered to attend a music school in Japan. Zoe has been a finalist for the Play It Strange Lion Foundation Songwriting Competitions and have had her songs recorded on CD for the past 3 years. She was fortunate to be a vocalist for the Mike Chunn Band which performed at the Beatles Tribute Concert and then also in the De Sotos Band for the Rolling Stones Tribute Concert - both of which were held at the Auckland Town Hall. Recently, Zoe has been performing at weddings, restaurant/lounge and private function performances and will be performing the NZ National Anthem for the Blacksticks Women verses Canada game held during Easter. Aside from the achievements in her music career, one of her greatest highlights was volunteering at StarJam teaching disabled children musical instruments and further giving them the confidence to perform publicly. Zoe's future aspirations are to complete her degree with the highest of grades and to also release an EP/music album, hopefully making it on the international stage of music.
