Cello Crimes marks the 50th Anniversary of Arnold Trowell (1887-1966) and is a concert featuring Waikato Alumni and cello specialists Martin Griffiths, Callum Hall, Yotam Levy and Jesbery Hartono as well as outstanding pianist Maria Mo. More than just a concert this special event could he called “Composers are human too”. Jailbird Johann Sebastian Bach and fraudster Arnold Trowell had more than criminal activity in common as they both loved the cello. We do too so come and enjoy cello solos and quartets in an intimate theatrical setting. A special feature of the concert will be the unveiling of newly published scores of Arnold Trowell’s music, most made available for the very first time.
