Hear Haydn in a listener’s journey from Bach to the portrayal of the Gypsy Cimbalom, followed by a romantic piano trio, written by the young Shostakovich, experiencing love for the first time. The New Zealand Chamber Soloists will engage and delight with this programme.

Steve Logan, 9 August
Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra principal timpanist Steve Logan has prepared an exciting programme of percussion music. In collaboration with David Kelly (piano) and Luca Manghi (flute) Steve will showcase a variety of instruments and composers, including "the world's foremost composer of Tango music", Astor Piazzolla.
