Reporting your vaccination status

Updated: 1 July 2022

A vaccination requirement at the University of Waikato remains in place for some groups of students until 30 October 2022.

Even if you are only enrolling in NET coded (online) papers, if you belong to one of these groups and intend to visit campus at any time or for any reason (for example, to use facilities such as computer labs, or to meet classmates), we need to know you have a valid Vaccine Pass.

Please provide your vaccination status in your MyWaikato profile using the following steps:

  1. Log in to MyWaikato.
  2. Select ‘Covid-19 Vaccine Declaration’.
  3. You can choose to scan the QR code from your Vaccine Pass, or upload a PDF. If you don’t hold a Vaccine Pass, do not wish to disclose this information, or do not intend to get vaccinated, you must also let us know this through MyWaikato.
  4. If you have an approved exemption you will have a valid Vaccine Pass.
  5. If you are having issues obtaining a Vaccine Pass, please contact [email protected].

It is essential you provide your vaccination status in MyWaikato.

The University will not hold your medical information, only whether you have a valid Vaccine Pass.

If you have any questions, call us on 0800 WAIKATO or email [email protected]
