Our Community

We partner with many organisations contributing to sport, exercise and movement across the university and community, including commercial entities, territorial authorities, health agencies, government agencies and community groups; trusts, sports, outdoor and tourism organisations.

Memorandums of Understanding have been established between the University of Waikato and Waikato Chiefs, the Home of Cycling, Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, Cycling NZ, Rowing NZ, Sport Waikato and Midlands Hockey.

PhD scholarships are offered in partnership with community organisations including, for example, the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic netball franchise and the Te Awa Cycleway Trust.
