Researching and applying practical sport science to elite professional athletes: Implementing specific cooling and heat adaptation strategies, hydration practices, and overall nutrition to improve performance outcomes and overall health.
Researching and applying modifications of elite athletic practices to obese sedentary individuals; improving exercise tolerance and overall clinical outcomes.

Exercise physiological and nutrition science research, focussing specifically on stressors (heat, hydration, hypoxia) and sex differences. Major physiological systems of interest are fluid balance, thermoregulation, epigenetics, neuro-endocrine interactions, and non-pharmaceutical interventions to promote adaptations and health. Major modulating factors of interest are fitness, sex differences, and high performance.
