Waikato Management School at the University of Waikato is proud to host the 26th A-CSEAR Conference from 1-3 December 2027, bringing together researchers, practitioners, and doctoral students from around the world.
Since its inception in 2002, the A-CSEAR Conference has become a leading international forum for scholars engaged in social, environmental, and sustainability accounting.
Together, they will share research, exchange ideas, and explore emerging issues in accounting and accountability.
Conference highlights will include international keynote speakers, research paper presentations, a doctoral colloquium, paper development sessions, and valuable networking opportunities with a global community of scholars.
We look forward to welcoming delegates to Waikato Management School for three days of discussion, connection, and scholarly exchange in social and environmental accounting. Further conference details will be released in early 2027.

About A-CSEAR
The Australasian Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (A-CSEAR) fosters a supportive and inclusive community of emerging and established scholars whose work examines the social and environmental dimensions of accounting theory and practice.
The annual A-CSEAR conference provides an international forum for presenting and discussing this research, encouraging interdisciplinary engagement, and strengthening collaboration across the field.
The A-CSEAR community is vibrant and diverse, and is committed to the free exchange of ideas, rigorous debate, and the development of research collaborations and opportunities in social and environmental accounting and governance.

Location details
The University of Waikato's main campus is in Hamilton, a fast-growing and vibrant river city located in New Zealand’s central North Island. The campus is situated about 10 minutes' drive from the CBD, close to hotels, shops, and restaurants.
Hamilton is 1.5 hours’ drive (115km) from Auckland International Airport, and just 15 minutes (15km) from Hamilton Airport, with direct flights to Sydney and the Gold Coast.
