Alumni

Alumni of the University can join the Library free of charge. This includes access to a set of Library databases specifically licensed for Alumni use.

Alumni library membership is limited to in-person borrowing only, and the databases available are subject to change. See the section on Database Access for the list of currently available databases.

Borrowing from the Library

On confirmation of Alumni status at the Library Service Desk on Level 2 of the Student Centre or at the Library service desk in the Tauranga campus, you will be issued with a membership card that allows you to borrow books and other library materials as follows:

  • Book limit - 10 books
  • Loan period - 1 month
  • All items are subject to recall. Recall and Short Term Loan overdue fines are $3.00 per day
  • Items are renewable unless required by another borrower
  • Alumni members may not recall items
  • All borrowing must be done in person. No email or telephone requests are accepted

Database Access

The Library will issue you with a username/password login (this will be different to your previous student login) that will provide access to the following databases:

Please allow 48 hours for database access to be enabled. Access to databases for alumni is subject to change.

If you only wish to access only the Library databases, please email the Library membership team at [email protected] to have your account set up.

Having Trouble Accessing the Databases?

Alumni members may only access the databases available to them from the list above.

If there is an issue with your username/password, please contact [email protected].

Most databases have in-built help and tutorials - please try this first. During our core business hours (Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) an Information Services Librarian is available to help via Library Chat.
