Library Holiday Hours for 2022-23 16th December 2022
It's getting closer to that time of year when we all get to enjoy a well-deserved break and hopefully some lovely weather. All libraries, including after-hours access, will be closed from 5pm, 16 December 2022, resuming normal hours on 4 January 2023. You can find our normal operating hours on our Hours and Locations page.
Five issues of the annual journal "Paewae - Prospect" are now live on O Neherā 1st December 2022
Paewae - Prospect is an annual journal to highlight the achievements of the University and its people. The journal was published by the University from 1988 to 1992, only being discontinued when it became apparent that the volume of information was too great for one publication. The University was producing reports, including two magazines for staff and alumni, which were more appropriate for the different readerships. Browse the Paewae - Prospect collection on O Nehera.
MBIE-funded research to be Open Access in the new year
Outputs from new MBIE grants post 1 January 2023 need to be Open Access! Two pathways are supported, both paid (via APC) and free (via repositories such as Research Commons). Read more about publishing Open Access here at the University of Waikato.
Latest Exhibition: Landing, landings 21st November 2022

Landing, landings is part of an expanding body of site-specific work developed by photographic artist Dr Mizuho Nishioka that explores the position between the natural environment and its representation of it. Voices of Mana Motuhake
A few weeks left to enjoy this incredible exhibition! A selection of artwork from the University of Waikato Art Collection will give voice to kōrero on ‘Ko Te Mana Motuhake’, the moto at the base of ‘Te Paki o Matariki’ – the crest of the Kīngitanga. The exhibition can be viewed at the Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts Main Gallery until 11 November. Learn more Voices of Mana Motuhake.
Tokelau Language Week 23rd October 2022
This year's theme for Te Vaiaho o te Gagana Tokelau – Tokelau Language Week is "Halahala ki vavau, kae ke mau ki pale o Tokelau" which means "To plan for the future is to understand the past." Teaching Resources Library Closed 18th October 2022

Teaching Resources Library will be closed 18 October, 2022 while the staff are attending a Library workshop. Hours will return to normal on 19 October, 2022. Hamilton Campus Library will be open with reduced staffing until 1.30pm the same day. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Remember we have a range of online resources available.

From December 2022 printing for Waikato Students is changing. Old Multi Function Devices (MFD) printers will be replaced with new models, and while functionality will not change, charging will! From ... Read full article
