Commemorating World War I

25 June 2014

The Library has organised a small display to mark the centenary of the spark that led to World War I (the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand in Sarajevo on 28 June 1914) and to highlight the resources held by the Library covering that war.

A separate display records New Zealand’s first involvement in the war when an expeditionary force took over Samoa in August 1914.
