Astrophysics for everyone: Join us for a very special presentation on the secret life of stars with Dr Simon Taylor.

Dr Simon Taylor is a prominent physicist and educator. Simon has studied astrophysics, quantum mechanics, researched children’s perceptions of learning, he has a deep fascination since he was a boy on space travel and galactic knowledge. He currently lectures at the University of Waikato, and is a keen advocate to encourage greater consultation and participation with the public on physics and astrophysics. Simon has publicly lectured on the Universe is dancing in cosmic order, nuclear fusion, cosmo-chemistry, the beauty of physics and music, the physics of surfing, and learning futures.

This 90-minute public lecture will be held at the University of Waikato Tauranga Campus, starting at 5.30pm. Ticket scanning and light refreshments will be available from 5pm. 

Tauranga City Council parking is free after 5pm during the week, including on-street parking or parking at the Spring Street carpark just across the road from the campus. 

You must register your attendance via Eventbrite and bring your eticket with you on the evening to be scanned (a digital version on your phone is fine too!)
