Hamilton Christian School and Benneydale School are the latest outfits to benefit from computer upgrades at the University of Waikato.
Hamilton Christian School received 16 computers, and Benneydale School five computers, as part of the university’s Computer Donations Programme which sees retired university computers in good condition donated to schools and early childhood centres in the greater Waikato region.
The scheme began in the Faculty of Education and is now a university-wide policy. Waikato University upgrades its 4500 PCs on a rolling basis about every four years. Already this year, a total of 34 computers have gone to schools and early childhood centres in the greater Waikato region.
