Tough competition: Waikato University graduate Marietjie Mujis was one of only a few females nominated in the Coca-Cola Amatil Australia supplier awards.
Waikato Management School graduate Marietjie Mujis was runner up Account Manager of the Year for the Coca-Cola Amatil Australia supplier awards held in Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum last month.
The awards are contested by all CCA’s suppliers, more than 70 different businesses. Marietjie, works for Melbourne-based TPF (The Promotions Factory) as the Group Account Director managing the Coca-Cola account. She says the awards were male dominated and she was one of few females up for an award.
She was judged on her understanding of CCA strategy and culture, supplier reviews, her market insight and solutions, being positive, proactive and flexible and having a sense of urgency and is happy to credit Waikato Management School with helping towards her success.
Marietjie graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Communication Studies majoring in Public Relations and Management Communication and has been working at TPF since 2005.
“Being recognised for my account management skills by such a big client is empowering and an incredible honour,” she says. “I enjoy my job thoroughly and awards such as these make the bad days seem worth it and the great days even better.”
